There are many kinds and types of card games in the world. One thing that is quite popular is the game of poker.

Poker is one of the games that uses playing cards as a medium.

One playing card box contains 52 sheets which are divided into four types of cards, namely spades (curly), hearts (hearts), diamonds (diamonds), clubs (spades), each consisting of 13 cards from Ace to King), and cards additional in the form of two black and red joker cards.

The game of poker is not only fun to play in your spare time. Poker games can also strengthen intimacy between friends, relatives or business partners in certain situations.

The poker game is worth trying. Besides that, to become an expert at poker, of course, we must be able to master all aspects of the game. One of them that must be mastered is understanding the terms commonly used in poker games.

Glossary of Terms in Poker Games

Aces up = A pair of aces plus another pair of cards.

Action = A player’s turn to act.

Ajax = Ace and Jack in your hand (A-J).

Back door = A combination made using the Turn and River cards.

Beer hand = Card 7-2 in hand, is the worst starting hand.

Belly buster = Drawing a straight in (cards in hand 7-5 flop 8-9-J so it takes 6 or 10 cards to make a straight).

Berry patch = Being in an easy game because there are a lot of bad players in it.

Bicycle = Ace small straight, A-2-3-4-5 (A-5).

Big lick = Cards 6-9 are not in the hand.

Big slick = Ace and King in hand (A-K).

Blank = Unable to make any combination with all five cards on the board.

Bluff = Bluffing / bluffing done to win the game from a player who has a weak card or combination, even without anything (blank).

Board = Five open cards on the table that will be matched with each card in hand to make the best combination.

Boat = Full House (Combination of Trip and Pair, A-A-A-K-K).

Bottom Pair = The lowest pair of cards (pair) as a result of the combination with the cards on the board, cards in hand 6-4, flop K-J-4, you managed to make a bottom pair combination, namely pair 4.

Broadway = Straight with an ace (A-5 / 10-A).

Bullets = A pair of Aces in hand (A-A).

Bumb = Raising.

Button = puck as a dealer marker, this puck will rotate continuously during the game clockwise.

Buy in = Registration fee to take part in a game or tournament.

Card speaks = The winner is determined by the best card combination.

Chameleon = Someone who always changes the type of game, for example from aggressive-maniac to tight-aggressive.
